In 2017, having done a drawing a day for a year, I found myself in need of another time consuming regular drawing project to digest the feelings of time, personhood and place that Where Am I, If Not Here? had stirred up for me. This time, I wanted to examine my own paracosm – an inner world I’ve had my whole life. I had had my fill of landscapes by this point, and wanted to draw gods and hot boys, and monsters. Each spread depicts and briefly introduces an absolute babe and a divine, monstrous being with which they are entangled in some way.
The content of this work is the result of paracosmonautical wanderings, conversations and friendships over the course of 20 years. Some of the figures within this book might be familiar to you: others will be entirely new. Some previews are below. You can order a copy here.
